Willie Smith’s

Willie Smith’s is Australia’s first certified organic cider. It’s made in the Huon Valley on the farm where William Smith first started orcharding in 1888. The orchard is currently run by Andrew, the 4th generation of the Smith family to farm in the Huon. It’s probably fair to say they have their roots in the region.

Willie Smith’s cider is made from fruit grown on the family farm – which is also where the crushing, fermenting, ageing and bottling takes place. To be organic, Willie Smith’s grows and processes its apples without the use of synthetic chemicals or GMOs.

Willie Smith’s cider is borne from our commitment to making cider the ‘Tasmanian way’. We use the best local produce and let it shine, naturally, without any artificial enhancements. And the best place to taste Willie Smith’s Cider? That would be The Apple Shed – the cider-maker’s Cellar Door and Apple Museum. Originally built in 1942, the building has been restored and remade into place where you can enjoy some of Tasmania’s best food and drink, then take in the Huon Valley’s incredible apple history.
